By Cat · Posted just now Y&R to air classic episodes By janea4old · Posted 48 minutes ago Wednesday, July 22, 2020 (Tues CDN) (Original US airdate: March 12, 1993) Newlyweds Neil and Dru celebrate their union with family and friends. Michael plots his revenge against Cricket. ^ description from Daytime Confidential (maybe from a press release?) What actually happens: Neil and Dru's wedding reception at the Chancellor mansion. Later, Neil and Dru go to a hotel for a few hours before catching their flight to their honeymoon -- and they have their wedding night in that hotel. Michael spends the entire episode breaking through the wall brick by brick, so that he can get into Christine's apartment and attack her. Meanwhile, Christine is working late at the office and Nina is en route to Christine's apartment to make dinner for her. Hilary (Christine's neighbor) is on her way home from being out of town -- she is coming back earlier than expected. Michael assumes that Hilary won't be back for days; and he is using her apartment as an access point to break into Christine's apartment. During the episode, Michael has a flashback to when Christine caught him on tape sexually harassing her. And he keeps muttering aloud that she will pay. You can tell he plans to rape her. He is quite evil here. The episode keeps going back and forth between happy happy wedding reception scenes and totally sinister Michael scenes as he chips away at the wall. The episode ends with the implication that Hilary will arrive in her apartment soon, and Nina will arrive in Christine's apartment soon. And Michael is through the wall, ready to pounce. Side plot: Someone phones Jill at the mansion during the wedding reception, and she is deliriously happy after taking the call. (We don't hear who is on the other end of the phonecall, but from having seen a later episode, we know this must have been the doctor phoning her to tell her she is pregnant with Billy). Jill is so giddy that Mamie thinks she's drunk. After John and Jill get home from the wedding, John keeps apologizing for having a vasectomy without talking with her, and yet insisting that he doesn't want the bother of children again. Jill just says don't worry about it. She thinks to herself "should I tell him now? no not tonight" (And we know she eventually tells him in a classic epi that already aired this summer.)
